Agrigento
In the city of Agrigento there are cultural, environmental and priceless treasures. Between the streets of the city centre and the towns nearby there is baroque architecture, arabic legacy, castles and ancient churches. Valle dei Templi
A famous sight of Agrigento is the Valle dei Templi. It is part of the herigate of UNESCO and it’s perfectly preserved and in it there are the ruins of the ancient city of Akragas and many dorian temples which date back to the Hellenic Age. In the park there are holy places, necropolis, part of an hellenic and roman district and other structures. Among the monuments there are almond trees and centennial olive trees.
The archaeological park of the Valle dei Templi is the biggest park in the world.
Torre Salsa
In Agrigento there are many naturalistic places to visit if you are a nature lover, one of these is the Natural Reserve of Torre Salsa. Run by WWF, in this reserve there are many narrow paths between the rocks and bigger paths where nature takes over. In the clear water is even possible to look at fish swimming, the sea is as beautiful as the caribbean sea.
